They've grown as we've grown, honing their skills and their understanding of our clients' needs. We've profiled a few of our 90 or so people for you to get a sense of who we are.
John Corcoran, President
John E. Corcoran is the founder of Trinity Partners, LLC. He has over 20 years consulting experience in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology with particular interests in commercialization strategy, data management, and analytics. John is a co-founder and president of Trinity Pharma Solutions, a Trinity subsidiary that provides data management solutions to the pharmaceutical industry. He is also founder and chairman of Akuta Labs, a New York-based entity that markets proprietary software for the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, and Odyl, LLC, a New York-based company that has developed a unique technology platform in the social media space. John is also a member of the board of directors of Soteira, Inc., a Natick, Massachusetts-based medical device company that is pioneering new approaches to spinal surgery based on stent technology. John attended Harvard College where he received an A.B. degree magna cum laude. He also holds graduate degrees from Northeastern University and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
Dave Fitzhenry, Managing Partner
Since 1997, David has consulted with senior executives on an extensive range of projects related to commercial strategy. With a singular focus in the life sciences, he has developed best practices for engagements ranging from licensing and acquisition due diligence to new product launch planning initiatives. His clients encompass a wide selection of organizations including venture backed startups, aggressive mid-cap life sciences organizations, and traditional “Big BioPharma.” His experience incorporates considerable work in global markets and he has in-depth knowledge of the majority of hot-spot therapeutic areas for new product development. David is a graduate of Harvard University where he studied Environmental Science and Public Policy.
Leslie Sandberg, Partner
Leslie has been a member of Trinity’s consulting group since 2001, specializing in commercial strategy and market analysis. She has particular strengths in conceptualizing and quantifying complex biopharmaceutical markets, and her skills include out-of-the-box identification of novel business opportunities for her life sciences clients. Leslie has completed assessments of hundreds of opportunities and has expertise in various evaluation tools and frameworks for asset valuation. In her time at Trinity, she has developed relationships with Senior Executives of major pharmaceutical companies who have come to rely on her for their most complicated and high-priority projects. Leslie has a background in preclinical laboratory research and is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa while majoring in Biology.
Fotios Kokkotos Ph.D., Partner
Fotios and his team are responsible for the ongoing statistical support of Trinity’s clients. Fotios has over 16 years of experience providing statistical consulting to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, litigation, financial and US government agencies. He has a wide range of experience in many areas of statistics, including but not limited to, sampling, survey designs, statistical modeling and forecasting, clinical trials, statistical computing, categorical data analysis, nonparametric statistics, stochastic processes, experimental design, time series and mathematical finance. Prior to joining Trinity in 2002, Fotios spent over seven years in different management positions at the economic consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC and also served as a statistical research consultant at Battelle Memorial Institute. In addition, he held an adjunct faculty position at American University. Fotios graduated from The Ohio State University and holds a doctorate degree in mathematical statistics from American University.
Troy Norris, Partner
Troy Norris is a Partner in Trinity’s Waltham office, helping pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostic and other healthcare clients make a variety of corporate, portfolio, product and partnering strategy decisions. Troy brings particular expertise in identifying, evaluating and accessing external growth opportunities through business development, mergers & acquisitions and innovative R&D financing and partnership models. Over his career, Troy has led or advised on over 20 completed transactions with more than $12 Billion total deal value. Prior to joining Trinity, Troy served as McKinsey & Co.’s Senior Expert, Pharmaceutical Innovation and Transactions. Troy joined McKinsey from Biogen Idec where he was Vice President, Corporate Development and completed multiple company acquisitions. Previously, Troy was a Vice President with L.E.K. Consulting, where he co-led their US life sciences practice. Early in his career, Troy led Clinical Operations for Astra USA, contributing to six FDA product approvals. Troy received his MBA degree from Harvard Business School and an honors degree in Biochemistry from Harvard College.
Ryan Million Ph.D., Principal
Dr. Ryan Million is the founder and manager of Trinity’s New York City office. Dr. Million has worked with clients in new product development, business development, market analytics, and sales and marketing in several therapeutic areas including oncology, allergy and respiratory, pulmonology, pain, urology, and anti-infectives. Current and past clients include both top U.S. and European pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Trinity in 2002, Ryan was a member of the business development team at engeneOS, Inc., a venture-backed biotechnology start-up company in Waltham, MA. He completed his doctorate training in the Genetics Department at Harvard University publishing several peer-reviewed scientific papers on the ABL oncogene (target of Novartis’s Gleevec) and a mouse model of chronic myeloid leukemia. Ryan attended the University of California, San Diego where he earned a B.S. in Chemistry/Biochemistry, graduating cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Stephen Fleming, Principal
Stephen Fleming has worked at Trinity Partners since 2004, specializing in commercial strategy and business analytics. Specifically, Stephen has worked on over 50 engagements including in-line brand forecasting, market landscape overviews, licensing and acquisition support, and data management. Stephen has particular strengths in market sizing and forecasting modeling plus experience in over 25 therapeutic areas. In his time at Trinity, Stephen has developed strong relationships with several of Trinity’s top clients including Johnson & Johnson, Cephalon, Eisai, and Pfizer. Internally, Stephen has led several company building activities including ski trips, recruiting, and new hire training. Prior to Trinity, Stephen graduated cum laude with an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University.
Neal Dunn, Principal
Neal and his team provide Trinity’s clients with strategically sound and tactically actionable results to critical brand questions through a breadth of marketing research methodologies. Neal employs his expertise in conducting qualitative, quantitative and modeling studies with his brand management experience to not only capture patterns in physician prescribing, but to discern the underlying drivers of their behavior. Prior to joining Trinity, Neal worked at Roger Green and Associates (RG+A). As Executive Vice-President, Client Services and member of the management team, he helped build strong client relations and internal operations, over a 5 year tenure. Before RG+A, Neal spent 6 years with Bristol-Myers Squibb in brand management and marketing research for in-line and pre-launch products. Neal is a graduate of Cornell University where he majored in Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behavior.
Herman Sanchez, Principal
Herman joined Trinity Partners in 2006. He has worked in the healthcare industry in academia conducting clinical trial research and design, and in strategic management consulting to pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech companies. While at Trinity his work has focused on commercialization strategy, business development assessment, and strategic product planning. Prior to joining Trinity, he worked as a Senior Associate at Boston Healthcare with device and pharmaceutical clients on product entry strategy, business development and reimbursement strategy. He has worked in a number of disease/therapeutic areas including: diagnostics, cardiovascular disease, vision care, diabetes, hepatitis C, alcohol abuse/dependence, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, orthopedics, wound care, and ESRD. Herman has been published in peer-reviewed publications on topics such as suicidal ideation, minority patient recruiting, alcohol use/abuse and depression/anxiety treatment. He holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
